So, I've been adjusting to my new way of life these past couple of weeks.

I'm back in South Bend, but still going to class at Columbia in Chicago on Thursday and Friday. Stay at Yuki's place once a week. Its been working out pretty good. Except having to wake up at 5am every Friday to catch the train is pretty harsh, but I've been managing to do it.

So far my classes have been pretty good. I have flat pattern, which is very exciting because I'm finally learning how to make slopers and how to alter them into my submission. I get to make a vest, blouse, and skirt this semester and the last day of class the professor has set up a professional photo session with a real model to model our clothes for our portfolio. I am beyond excited for that. I really feel like I am a real fashion design student now.

My photography class is going ok. I'm not much of a photographer... and the proff wants like 50 pictures a week on average from us. D: I'm doing my best though. I still need to purchase a new camera for this class but alas I am still waiting on my loan refunds to be reimbursed to me.

I've been waiting for 3 weeks to get my loan money back to pay for my supplies and books. My mom has been covering for me but I have to pay her back. I think its slow because I canceled on of the loans because I didn't need it. Less money to accrue interest the better.

Oh! I have my Job back at Kohl's. Making money is good. It almost feels like I never left, but I have to go through training all over again. LAME. Everyone seems really happy I am back, which is nice to have a working environment that is positive, plus the manager that made my life hell just left and she was so super nice to me and even was the manager that hired me back through my interview... maybe she was hard on me because she liked me? I donno. Anywho... will be saving money for living expenses in Chicago next year. Gonna try to get a real apartment and acutally live there and transfer my job to the Kohl's there in Bucktown. *crosses fingers* I hope this plan will work. I need to find a room mate or 2 for maximum rent cheapness.

Today I'm gonna work on my outfit for Halloween Tea Party Hosted by the Chitown lolitas.... which i need to still pay for the reservations... Must do that today... I've been so up in the air about my money situation its been hard to figure out whats going on. I gotta get 15 bucks out of Yuki. XD

Any way off to work on my skirt. I'm making a Phantom of the Opera themed outfit since its Halloween and Gothy themed and all! yay... but i'm making a vest, skirt, blouse,jabot, and cape... oh boy gotta work hard. XD

Wow! Ok I wanted to post more during my vacation in Japan, but I was just so busy everyday, I really had no time to sit around and write journal entries. Anyhow, I've been home for 3 days now and I am jet lagged like a Mofo! I had such an amazing awesome time in Japan though! I was so happy I got to see so many friends and hang out with you guys as many times as I could. I really didn't want to leave, but I had to return to normal life, plus I was running out of monies. lol

I am going to try to write a quick review of what I did everyday, mainly for my own memories. In hopes that people will read it I will try to make it not too long. XD

First of all I uploaded 173 pictures on Facebook. You can check em out there. I'm sure most of you have seen them on there all ready anyhow.

Ok, so this concludes the first week I was there. I decided to just go a head and post what I have done of my documentation of my travels in Japan. I figure hardly anyone is going to get through reading all this anyhow so I might as well just separate it into two parts. So yeah… Part two will be coming soon with fun times at Tokyo Disney and Yokohama!

Woah! Yesterday was like the longest day of my life for real. I was up from 6am to 2am Japan time. So like 36 hours with very little sleep? XD It was pretty crazy. The plane rides went pretty smooth though, I didn't have any trouble getting on any of my flights or getting through security. It was honestly one of the most easy flying trips I've ever made.

The 13 hour flight was insane. We got delayed an hour because there was a problem with the luggage compartment of the plane. So it took even longer, but we got a drink voucher for waiting. XD It was a good flight, I even made a friend! The guy sitting next to me goes to school in Chicago too! It was nice to have someone to chat with. The food on the plane was pretty good. I think it gave me so awful gas though because man I was bloated like crazy on the last few hours on the plane and all the way back to Becky's place.

After I got off the plane got my bags and got through customs and immigration, which was insanely easy... I thought they would have asked me more questions. I guess since I'm a trustworthy looking American? lol I scooted with my cart out to meet Becky. I didn't spot here till I saw Rebecca too! I was so happy to see the both of them. They helped me with my bags and and getting on the train home to Becky's place. With out them I would have been so lost. We looked at the zipper I got and giggled all the way home on the train.

So far I really don't feel like I'm in a different country yet. I think its because I'm in the suburbs. Its nice to walk around Becky's city. I love it. Also, something funny. The trains here play happy little jaunty tunes when the doors are open. Its kinda silly. XD like the CTA just goes Ding Dong here its like dodododo do. XD

When we got back I took a shower and then we ate at Saizeriya. Its like a super cheap "Italian food" place. I was so bloated though I couldn't really finish it so Rebecca ate the rest of it for me. It was good. After Rebecca went home and Becky and I went to the Japanese version of walmart and got some dessert and eggplants. We came home and watched tv till we feel asleep.

Right now we're watching M-On and waiting for the other luggage to arrive. I love watching Japanese TV. XD I'm just happy sitting here watching TV. lolz M-On actually plays music its great!

I think were gonna wonder around Ikebukuro today~ fun times~ I'm going to try to update as much as I can and maybe post a few pictures whenever I can.

So I found out yesterday that my student loan wasn't accepted because My parents credit is so terrible and my brother is refusing to help me out by cosigning this year like he did last year. So a month and a half before school is back in session, I am scrambling to figure out a way to pay for school.

I'm going to call the Federal aid office to find out if there is any other direct loan I can get through them besides the Parent Plus loan. I'm trying to figure out if there is a direct loan that I can just have in my name and has nothing to do with my parents. Its looking like it isn't possible unless I am a graduate student, but I'm going to call to make sure.

My only other option besides that is a private loan. I'm going to try to go with Sallie Mae if I can't get any more federal loans. Tony has a friend who's wife is a teacher and she was feeding him all this crap about how her family makes $200,000 ~ $300,000 a year and their kids get a shit ton of money and loans from the government. It just doesn't seem fair that someone who comes from a financially stable family is getting more aid and help from the government then I do. My dad makes like fucking $40,000 dollars a year and my mom is unemployed because she is too sick to work on a regular basis. I can't find a mother fucking job and I only qualify for $4,000 dollars of help through Stafford loans through the government. What gives? I can't expect my parents to shell out for my tuition when its pretty much exactly the same amount they make in a fucking year.

I don't get how anyone is supposed to improve their lives and make their chances of being successful if the government isn't willing to help those that need it and then hands out free money to those who all ready have it. How am I supposed to learn the skills I need for my future job if I'm forced to fucking quit school. I was just starting to feel like I was really where I belong and I was actually starting to learn and love what I do. Then I get my dreams shattered because my family is to fucking in debt for me to even be able to get a loan. Maybe I was just fooling myself in the first place to think that I could make my situation better and actually aspire for something and have a goal. I guess the world is trying to tell me that I should quit school and just pop out babies and stay in fucking South Bend for the rest of my life working at a horrid dead end job. I think I would rather be dead then stuck with a dreadful fate like that one.

This country is so fucking backwards. We praise and award people who have often times have very little education and are often times the most ignorant wasteful pieces of filth like actors, rappers, and athletes for doing nothing but fucking entertaining people, while the real people are struggling to make it. It seems like it doesn't pay off to be an honest person in this country any more. I might as well quit school, start dealing drugs, pick up a nick name, and become a fucking rapper. I think I would have more money then I ever would have if I keep on living like I am now. Hey I might even be able to achieve my goal and have my own fucking clothing line, since it seems like fucking rappers instantly get those with their god damn contracts.

All I would like is for just a little bit of help. It really feels like every one is saying "Just figure it out on your own, you're an adult." While this is true I am 22 years old now, but I am still young and maybe if you have this attitude towards me and are older then me, think about where you were when you were 22 years old? Did you know everything about everything at that age? NO! I'm confused about what I should do and anyone who has had experience with this I feel like is telling me to go away and figure it out by myself. Its really shitty to know when you really need someone, you literally feel that you have no one you can depend on.

With that I'm going to stop bitching and go take a shower and call Federal aid up.

So I turned 22 2 days ago. Yay another year older. XD
Well, I had a pretty fun weekend/past 5 days. XD I went to Yuki's place to hang out with him for his birthday and my birthday. Born 3 days apart, always makes it easy for planning things. We went to this French restaurant called Retro Bistro it was really good. We both got 3 course dinners. I got a salad, trout in creme sauce with kidney beans and asparagus, and creme brulee for dessert. I got a martini and we both got espressos with dessert. I would love to go back to that place again. yum yumm~ After that we went to go see The new Transformers movie... it was good... and really awful too. XD

After that we came home and Yuki had put a bunch of rose petals on the floor in a path to my present! It was so cute~! He got me some Fila Melrose Scarf high top sneakers! Yay~! lol they are like Big Bang style. They are so cute, and I really needed some new sneakers... They are my only pair. lol He also got me roses and a memory card for my camera! Now I can take almost 5,000 pictures with my camera as opposed to my previous 16 picture limit. lol I got Yuki a ton of old records, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Yes, Saturday Night Fever, I think maybe even a Neil Diamond on in there, and a ton more. I also got him a REX 50, which is like a multi-effector for a guitar and I got him some coffee. lolz

We hung out alot with Yuki's friends/new band mates Vinny and Terri. We went to eat at sushi station with them and then they came over to yuki's place and we hung out drank a little...*cough*or alot in some ones case*cough* and seriously watched like 5 hours of Dream Theater Dvds lol. It was really fun though. Yuki... I think drank too much... He got kinda grumpy and started throwing things like his guitar and some dvds... I think hes stressed about playing at Lollapalooza with Yuto Miyazawa... who is like that 9 year old guitar shredder... he kept saying things like I know people who are better and then like saying this song is so easy! I should be like Dream Theater. lol oh Yuki I had to take care of him alot. lol In the morning though we woke up and walked to Jewel Osco and got stuff to make breakfast. Vinny made everyone pancakes, sausage, and egges... It was delicious he is a great cook. I really like those 2 Yuki has some cool new band mates. Really nice and easy to get along with. Yuki pretty much slept for the rest of the day untill like dinner time and we headed over to Jewel again to get stuff to make curry.

Ok the crappiest thing happened on the way to Jewel. We decided to walk there since it was so nice out. On the way there we crossed paths with a group of what looks to be like a bunch of middle schoolers. When we pass them one of the girls shouts "CHINK!" I wanted to turn around and bust her in the face, but I decided it was best not to respond because thats what people like that want. A response. But seriously WTF? First of all wrong type of Asian there smarty pants, and second of all Yuki lives in a community with alot of Asians especially Japanese... you think they wouldn't be surprised to see a *gasps* "yellow man". Its really sad, they were a bunch of little all American looking white kids, its really sad because I'm sure they are learning to act that way from their parents, or fucking Miley Cyrus.

Anyhow, we got stuff to make pork curry and invited Vinny over again since he made breakfast we offered dinner. XD We were all really sleepy after eating and vinny and yuki talked about techy music stuff for a while and we decided it would be good to watch the plastic soy sauce documentary they made of their "Japan tour". I think Yuki wanted to show Vinny his old band, but we got so sleepy that I was half asleep and Vinny was out like a light. XD

Next day I wanted to go to the Brookfield Zoo, but Yuki and I woke up too late. So, We just decided to head out back to my home. We got to South Bend at like 7 and ate dinner my mom made and just chillaxed. We decided to go to the Potawatomi Zoo the next day instead. We instead went to go see Public Enemies. The new Johny Depp movie about the bank robber John Dillinger. It was a pretty good moive. It seemed pretty realistic, like they didn't exaggerate it that much I felt. It was good.

Tuesday we went to the Potawatomi Zoo, it was pretty fun. I hadn't been to that zoo since I was in middle school maybe? lol It was actually pretty fun. I took a ton of pictures at the zoo. I'll post some of them. The rest of the day we spent wondering around SB and searched for some fabric dye to dye some tank tops for Yuki. We wound up finding what he wanted at Wal-mart. XD Yuki went home on Wednesday.

Next week Julie, Kevin, Yuki and I are going camping! I'm excited about this, since I haven't been camping since middle school. lol I'm really looking forward to hanging out with Julie again! I miss her. Yuki is excited about fishing. I think we're gonna be fishing alot. Speaking of that we need to get fishing licenses... gotta look up how much its going to be and where to get them.

Also, I have 22 more days before I leave to go to Japan for 2 weeks! I am so excited~! yay I can't wait to see everyone there! I really miss you guys~! But also... I'm kinda stressed out about money though... I'm really not even close to having enough money... but I will figure something out I guess. :c

I totally forgot that I took pics of my new cell phone to post on here!

I got a Samsung Alias. Not the LG Env because my mom only got the extra discount and it would have been $70 bucks for me, but the Alias was only $20. I think it was so cheap because the Alias 2 just came out. I was a little worried it would be hard to use since its a full keyboard phone and it flips in two directions, but I've been using it for 2 weeks and I'm pretty happy with it. Only problem is that is pretty plain looking, but pretty much any cell phone would be compared to my old phone, which was an LG Chocolate in pink. lol

I am so frustrated. I need a job like it is nobody's business. I went to Man Power last week. They said I might be able to work at the Notre Dame Book store, but it has been a week and I have heard nothing from them. I do their whole song and dance with calling in after 5 and leaving a voice message letting them know I am available, but I STILL haven't heard anything. My mom says I need to wait, but I need MONEY NOW. I can't wait around forever and get a call for work when I'm fucking leaving this area.

I might just have to go and apply for some retail jobs. I've been apprehensive about applying for non-temp jobs because most retail places you can't request anytime off within the first month of working there, and I have my birthday time and camping coming up in July. I know for fucking sure they will make me work on these times since they are on weekends. So, I'm at a loss for what I should do. I am really frustrated. I need as much money as possible for my trip to Japan. Right now I have like $300 dollars, but $300 and a wish will not keep me alive for 2 weeks in Japan.

I'm also really sick of sitting in my house all day everyday doing nothing. I wake up at noon and laze around maybe dabble in some sewing and puts around on the computer... and have an occasional trip to the post office. I AM SO FUCKING BORED OUT OF MY GOD DAMN SKULL! D: Being bored is making me so apathetic and depressed. I tell my mom about it but she really does not seem to give a rats ass. I guess this is how she lives her life everyday, but I am sick of it. I miss living in Chicago so bad. I miss being able to just walk out of my apartment and do whatever the hell I want, whenever the hell I want. I miss being independent and having freedom. Here I have to ask to go anywhere and I have to wait around on someone else's time. Its a pain in the ass.

I figure I need AT LEAST $1,000 dollars when I go to Japan. Seeing as Becky told me I need like $200 for transportation, I figure I will need $200 or more for food, Then Rebecca and Miri want to take me to disney so theres another $100, Then I need money for random fun things like going clubbing and karaoke, so I figure another $200, and then I want spending money of course so like $300~whatever I can get.

There is not a chance in HELL I am making that much money with out a fucking job.

I guess we are going shopping at Wal-mart soon maybe I will pick up an application there. D: ugghhhh

I just booked my flight to Japan today! Woot!
I'm really going! I'm so excited. I've been wanting to visit Japan for years and I finally have the chance now. I'm also double excited since I get to see so many of my friends that are living there now! Yay, I really miss you guys. ; _ ;/~

Well this is mostly for Becky's information, but here's my flight time info:

I have a pretty good long time there in Japan. Oh mans, I have so much I wanna do and people I wanna see! yay~ If anybody has any plans of things they wanna do with me I am more then welcome for suggestions. XD

I most certainly want to go shopping as many places as I can.XD Marui, Closet Child, Book-off, brand stores, you know. Visit Harajuku, Shibuya, Nippori for fabric, and anywhere else thats cool. I wanna go karaoke and out to some clubs or bars too maybe. I don't know if its possible but I think it would be really awesome if I could go to a concert while I'm there. Doesn't have to be big, even some show at a tiny box would be cool.

Yay I'm so excited! Now I just gotta work my ass off to save enough monies to have fun while I'm there. XD I wanna buy a bunch of goods... so... yeah monies... - __ -;

It seems a running trend that I'm only posting here on lj once a month. lol well since its summer break i will try to post more often.

I was super-tastic busy the second half of this semester. Its been pretty stressful but rewarding in some aspects and kinda crappy in others.

I finished my first year at Columbia College and I had a blast. I love it there. I feel like I learned so much and have grown so much as a person and in my skills as a seamstress/designer. I really look forward to returning in the fall. I can't wait to learn more.
I also have run into some people relation situations that have not turned out for the best. I have learned that some people, no matter how hard you try, just aren't willing to work out differences and move on. I wish no ill will against her and hope that shes happy with whatever she decides to do in the future.

I also did make a lot of cool new friends as well. So I guess its give and take. eh

This weekend I moved out of the dorms back to good old south bend. I'm going to miss Chicago till I return in September, but I will visit it often for sure. I'm all ready planning to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the 26th with Yuki.

Man moving out was pretty exhausting. I still have to unpack all my crap, but I want to clean and rearrange my room first. My room is full of old papers and books and random crap I never use. It would be an easy task if I wasn't so exhausted and sick. My throat is killing me and Im so tired. I really hope I don't get that awful sinus infection again like I had a couple months ago.. that would be awful.

I am attempting to make a trip to Japan in August. I almost have enough money to buy the plane ticket, but I need to save up for spending money. I'm going to try to get a job and sell a bunch of old magazines and cds and such. I hope I can do it!

well thats all for now I'm gonna read or take a nap and try to get better.

So I haven't posted on LJ in more then a month. aha.. I've been ranging from really lazy to way to busy over this time period. lol

The rest of my break was really fun. I spent most of the time hanging out with Becky and watching CSI. Went shopping in Chicago a bit... but I got my first ticket ever from the CTA... for "theft of service" because I was unaware of them jacking up the price 25 cents. I have my court date on the 27th. I'm hoping to get out of it. Also Yuki got me a digital camera for Christmas! I will be posting more pics on here now. lol

I started back to school and the new semester has been pretty good so far. I had to drop my "Mind-Brain question, Self-identity, and the future of humanity" class because it was just too much bullshit for me to take. Plus it was an insane amount of reading. Becky came to visit me for her interview that she didn't get the job for but that's ok because it was a joke and she just accepted a much better job now.

I also moved out of my old apartment! Hooray! I got to move in with Alison because her room mate Danesha moved back home because her dog died. I feel so much more welcome here in this place! They actually like it when I cook and they are even willing to eat kimchi chige! Its so nice to have room mates that don't alienate you and actually talk to you like a human being and I'm not next to the living space so I don't have to deal with parties right outside my door. Besides these girls don't party here and if they do they go out. nice!

I also went back home for Becky's B-day. Which was alot of fun! We went up to Michigan to visit Tony and we went to the Motor City Casino. We waited in line for like and hour to eat the Sea Food Friday Buffet. It was soo worth it. Becky and I stuffed our faces with crab legs and shared 3 desserts. The crape was so delicious. The we sat and gambled for a few hours. The casino played awesome tunes and it was just great to chillax with my family. Becky, Tony, and I didn't win but, my mom got 200 bucks which is pretty sweet.

I've been busy/sick as a dog this week. I was fine until Wednesday when I had a slight cough and sore throat and lady time started. But its Sunday now... lady time is near over but, my cold is getting worse. I lost my voice this morning when I got up and I've been falling asleep at 12~1-ish every night. It sucks when I wanna get homework done. so im pumping myself full of vitamins and gargling salt water and vinegar.

I have to go to Yuki's boss/mentor from his studio's baby's 1st year birthday party today at Chucky Cheese. Which should be a blast. Oooh yeah I finally got to see where Yuki works at the studio and meet some people he works with. James and his girlfriend Tara are so nice and their daughter Mila is adorable.

Becky is leaving for Japan in March. I am so excited for her but, I'm really gonna miss her too. I was just getting used to her being back. I think when she leaves this time it will be harder then last time since shes only been home for like 2 months. Hey shes going stir crazy in South Bend so I don't blame her for leaving plus shes finally getting to go to Japan.

Well I should stop rambling and get ready to go to the party.

This performance is so great. They're bringing back old Drunken Tiger and 1TYM. TOP is way too cool with his chocolate sauce. LMAO. Tea Yang is so adorable. Hes so into it in the crowd. The big buff guy from Dynamic Duo look like he could kick everyone's asses.


Yeah I've been stuck in the house pretty much for a week because the weather is so awful. We have like 2 feet of snow and its still going. D: Gah... I want it to be April all ready.

I am just super frustrated right now.

I owe the hospital $500 dollars for removing the pin I swallowed a few months ago. My mom tried to get it attached to her hospital bill, but the hospital said it was possible for us to get the bill cleared because I am unemployed and we're pretty fucking broke. Well apparently the information my mom sent the hospital was insufficient and they turned the bill over to a collection agency whos going to fuck up my credit if the don't get their money. Now we have to go get my income tax form to prove that I'm not just trying to dupe them out of $500 dollars. I mean I made 3,000 dollars this year. Its not like I'm living large and just don't wanna pay, and my parents have their own bills to worry about and my Dad is the only one who has a job.

The most frustrating part is I can't get a job either. No one wants to hire an out of state college student because I would've had to leave during the holidays and no one here in South Bend wants to hire a student that can only work till January. I haven't heard back from Kohl's either. So I'm pretty much screwed. I'm trying to sell some of my stuff here on lj, but no one really wants to buy. Unless I mark everything down to like 2 dollars, but hey everyone is having money problems I guess.

I can't afford to pay $500 let alone buy anybody fucking Christmas presents.

I think I can understand why people get so depressed and commit suicide during the holidays.

I'm also becoming stir crazy because I basically can't leave the house. We have 3 fucking cars and only one works and my dad uses it to go to work everyday. We need to get a battery for the mercury.

I am home till Sunday for Thanksgiving break! I am pretty happy to be home. Its very relaxing here and I get to eat lots of fooood! yay food! lol

I came home yesterday and I got to open the package Becky sent from Korea!

I feel so blessed that I have such great friends that send me so much stuff! I am always impressed by the amount of stuff you guys send! <333 Thank you so much Becky! It makes me feel bad that I hardly send you stuff. ; - ;

BTW Becky when are you coming home for sure? I wanna know so I can plan a trip to Chicago where we can stay at my apartment because they don't close over break and I can go back when ever I want. Also, are you sending boxes home of your stuff so you don't have to shove it all in your suit cases?

I finally got my Fan Plus Friend winter coat like a week ago!
I have to say that I am very pleased with it. It pretty much turned out exactly how I described to them. I would say its well worth the money and its very warm just what I need for the wonderfully frigged Chicago winters. I got it just in time too. Its just starting to get pretty cold here.
